This morning I did a BASSCam with Chris Zaldain and he made it obvious what his game plan is for the tournament. For the second day there are nothing but big baits tied on his lines.
The key players are a big deep structure spoon and a giant Megabass Magdraft swimbait.
“When you come to a place like Lake Eufaula it’s all about getting the big bite. I don’t care about the numbers.”
He added, “I’m going to make as many casts as I can with those baits, and if I get five good bites, they will be five giant bass.”
For Zaldain, he is leaning on the shallow bite to improve. He got it going in practice and feels like it will be key today.
“Today is all about the changing conditions, making adjustments based on the sun conditions and the post-front.”
