Almost no. 2

A minute ago Edwin Evers stuck another solid keeper. When he tried to flip it in the boat, however, the fish came unbuttoned, bounced off the boat and landed back in the water. It looked to be a 2-pounder and would have given him about 5 pounds for the morning.

Steve Bowman captured the sequence in several striking photos. Look for his gallery on Bassmaster.com this afternoon.

Evers knows he'll have to have a limit of 3-plus pound bass to have a hope of winning the Plano Bassmaster Elite at the Mississippi River presented by Favorite Fishing, and the one that got away would have to have been culled anyway.
