138 down to 20

On Wednesday 138 teams launched for Day 1 of the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series Midwest Regional presented by Bass Pro Shops on Lake of the Ozarks and now we are down to 20. The Top 20 teams made it through two full-field days and now duke it out for the Top 19 spots for the National Championship as well as the top spot in this event.

I just found the leaders Nic Rand and Keegan Russell of Lake Superior State. They had a two-day total of 41 pounds, 6 ounces. To make the Top 20 teams needed 29-11, which is roughly a 14-12 average per day. That is very stout for a Top 20.

Lake of the Ozarks has been putting out incredible weight lately and even in this event. A lot of local events utilize the Alabama/Umbrella Rig, but these College Bass anglers have averaged good weight without it so far. The leaders don't have anything in the boat just yet, but it has just hit one hour of competition so far.
