The last Central Open of the season on Lake Texoma was a study in shallow water bassing. Some targeted rock, some wood, and at least one threw at anything he could find so long as his water was less than five feet deep. No matter their target, however, each of the four top finishers caught 15 bass over three days to earn their checks.
Terry Butcher dominated the field at the Central Open on Lake Texoma, outpacing his competition by almost 12 pounds on the way to his second BASS victory.
The race to the Bassmaster Classic was so tight, that by the time the scales closed on Day Three of the Central Open on Lake Texoma only two points separated third and fourth place.

With his Day One boat trouble behind him and bluebird conditions on a nearly cloudless Friday on Lake Texoma, Bassmaster Elite Series pro Terry Butcher of Talala, Okla., managed to maintain the lead by more than 3 pounds on Day Two of the Bassmaster Central Open, the final division event of the season.
