It’s Championship Sunday and I’m out in the middle of St. Clair waiting.
I’m waiting for the sun to rise, which I know it will. I’m waiting for Jason Christie, whom I think will show up and I’m waiting for this wind to die down, which I’m almost certain won’t happen.
And lastly, I’m waiting for some cell service. Not sure I’ll ever get that. So there is no telling what time this will get sent.
I’m covering Christie today. He’s a final-day monster, so it’s always a good bet to be around him. But he’s also in second in this derby and the AOY race.
When he’s won, he’s had the opportunity to throw caution to the wind. Today that might not be possible.
He doesn’t want to lose any precious points going into the AOY. If he were to gain one then fantastic.
But truthfully this will likely be the only time you will ever see Christie fishing for second place (in this derby) hoping for first in another.
