Captain Michael Landreth and the Sandy Springs Fire Department help kick off Championship Sunday in style at the Geico Bassmaster Classic presented by GoPro.
It's quite possible we'll have a tight finish today. Just in case there's a tie, B.A.S.S. tournament officials have laid out the following plan for Monday: Take off at 7:30 a.m. ET Check in 1:00 p.m. ET Weigh-in 1:15 p.m. ET All of the above would take place at Green Pond Landing in Anderson, on the B.A.S.S. trailer
Iaconelli's plan appears to have been set in motion. He just yanked a 1 1/2-pounder from a brushpile, which has him looking at 9 pounds or so. He was pumped in typical Ike fashion and seems to have lost his funk.
We've moved to Jacob Powroznik who is fishing a saddle between an island and the bank, moving very slowly. We thought Casey Ashley had gone toward the dam, but he just came flying out of the pocket behind Powroznik.
Another small fish for Wheeler from the deep. He says there are some bigger fish down there but only the small ones are playing ball. The deep bite pays off with a 2 1/2-pound spot. Good enough to cull an earlier fish. Update by Bassmaster Marshal Roger Metz
After breaking his lure off on a brush pile Bobby Lane eases over to a nearby dock...all in one fluid motion. He is, well, in his lane! Update by Bassmaster Marshal David Findley

Swapping out Ashley's GoPro cards before he makes a long run. He told us he has about 17 pounds in the livewell.
Ish Monroe is on set with Mark Zona and Tommy Sanders and they asked Ish what he would do if he was in Casey Ashley's shoes. Ish said that after getting a 15 pound limit like Casey has, that he would pick up a jig and try to get a bigger bite. Undoubtedly, Casey Ashley is a fantastic jig fisherman and, in fact, won the FLW Tour event on Lake Hartwell last year around this time. We will see, but he keeps throwing his fish head spin, a bait that has loaded the boat for him all week.
