Dave Elder leads the co-angler field after Day Two.
In this photo gallery, you'll find images of the anglers as they prepare to launch on Day Two of the 2008 Elite Series Battle on the Border on Lake Amistad, near Del Rio, Texas.
High winds and rolling waves on Day One of the Empire Chase cracked boat hulls, overcame engines and swamped boats.
"I'm really hoping I don't have to throw mine out," angler Gary Klein said, "but depending on the wind it could be one, two or even three."
"Every day's different with these smallmouths," said Cook. "We had a bunch of big fish follow the bait today. It's just that their attitude wasn't very good today."
"Twenty-one pounds on five casts!" he said. "We're in trouble. We're so in trouble."
The overcast sky and slight wind seemed to play a vital role in the amateur's 43 limits brought to the scales as opposed to Day One's 18 limits.
The forecast for storms should prove favorable for the anglers at the Elite Series on Clarks Hill Lake.
