Moving upriver

Mar 12, 2015

No real surprise, some anglers are slowing down to pitch and flip while others opt to make as many casts as they can in a day's time with moving baits.   The one notable nugget that we've picked up on here, the majority of the field vacated the lower end of the lake where Randall Tharp won in the fall of 2013. There are wads of boats everywhere upriver, but only one lone angler on the dam which typically draws a dozen or so.

'Behind' the scenes - A special delivery

Corey Stanley covering water early like most of the guys we've seen. Looking to capitalize on the front, ChatterBaits and spinnerbaits have been the predominate bait of choice this morning.

Above: Boats head out to Ross Barnett.   Below: Janet Jones is for Team Brooks. Chase Brooks gets a pic snapped coming through the line.   Someone is sporting the latest in takeoff fashion hats.   It's Miyuki Fukae.   The signs above the sound system blasting takeoff music are no reflection of the playlist chosen by Chris Bowes.
