Bassmaster Classic Champ Luke Clausen arrives to the lock on Day 1. He's headed to Kissimmee where he won his title in 2006 but admits this time around, things are much different. The cold fronts here have rocked his best areas from back then so if he was counting on fishing memories, he might as well not fish. Still optimistic though because it's Florida and you can catch a game changer one any cast.
And so it begins. Like a litter of piglets trying to find a teet the anglers pack into the lock between Toho and Cypress. One load has already been pushed through and this one won't be far behind. Most of these anglers are headed to Kissimmee where this tournament is typically won.
Boat 200 is called and the field is all fishing. From what anglers told me, many have modified their gameplan to account for the lock system, which only allows approximately 16 boats at a time. Should be interesting how many stay in Toho.
