Lane and Browning
I'm riding along with photographer James Overstreet (aka JO) and we've been cruising around the boat ramp/launch/weigh-in site. We've come up on Chris Lane. Now he's leaving. Says he's going on a 37-mile boat ride. We'll pass and look for someone else. After a short run we've come up on Stephen Browning. From the leader to third place. Not bad. Browning says the water dropped one foot overnight, an indicator of how today will likely shake out for adjustments.

Watching the launch
Standing on the dock watching the boats pass through check out line gives you full disclosure of the baits ready for use. Haven't seen a single Alabama Rig. What? Lots of topwaters ... spinnerbaits ... and more spinnerbaits.
Day Two begins
Is that rain I feel? Of course it is. We're at a tournament. There's a 50% chance today. Don't think that'll reverse the flow of outgoing water and solve some of the challenges faced by the shallow water anglers. Yesterday we heard a lot of "got to my spot upriver and the stumps were out of the water" comments. We'll see today how adjustments are made.
Lane leads at Logan Martin
Elite Series pro and 2012 Bassmaster Classic Champion Chris Lane brought 18 pounds, 10 ounces of bass to the scales to snatch the lead of the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Southern Open on Logan Martin Lake.
