Alabama pro tops field of 157 going into final day of Southern Open #3.
Alabama angler seeks elusive Classic berth - and an answer
Fans are beginning to get the prime seats on the beach for the 2 pm CSTday 2 weigh-in at the BPS Bassmaster Southern Open on Logan Martin Lake. Reports are that they're catching them again today.
DeFoe and few others may be riding in tin boats this weekend; we mentioned earlier how that could be a help or a hinderance on the final day. One thing factor that could definitely make it a hinderance is a huge boat show that is taking place Saturday. It's called Lake Fest, and it's billed as the largest on-the-water boat show in the country, possibly the world.
Howell in misery as he loses one he needed and other drama on the water today on Logan Martin.
You can learn a lot from photos. We are getting a few of them every little bit from professionals and co-anglers at the Southern Open on Logan Martin. The latest comes from Ott DeFoe, who is holding a really nice spotted bass. But the first thing I noticed was DeFoe was kneeling down in an aluminum boat. That's a change from Day One, when we saw him in his Nitro. On the Opens you can switch boats. At the Elites you can't do that.
Ott DeFoe sends in a pic of him culling up. Looks like a good day so far.
Unfortunately for Michael Naron, we don't weigh catfish at the end of the day.
