The top 12 pros and co-anglers take to Table Rock Lake for the final day of the Bass Pro Shops Central Open #3 presented by Allstate.
Day 2 leader James Watson is back to the grindstone again. "It's excruciating," said Watson. He's referring to his daily down time in the mornings. "I'm fishing productive water, they're just not biting early." Watson has a handful of small creeks that he's running two sometimes three times a day. "I may go through here without a bite and come back in three hours and catch a bag."
James Overstreet reports that Rick Clunn has two keepers weighing about 4 and 3 pounds. He’s off to a good start, to say the least. Departing from the launch ramp, he was the lone boat going away from Table Rock Dam. The remaining 11 boats took off the opposite direction. A win puts Clunn in his 32nd Classic with the first dating back to 1974. That is amazing and would bring great hype to the 2016 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by GoPro. Stay tuned; there is more to come from Clunn.
We’ve amped up the Opens on-water coverage with the addition of Shaye Baker joining James Overstreet. Baker also has turned into a prolific blogger. That gives us two photographers to cover the potential winners. Rick Clunn is one of those anglers. It was a no-brainer for Overstreet to choose the iconic Clunn. The photo gallery alone will be worth the effort. Already it is. Here’s a panoramic view taken by JO with his iPhone of Clunn’s opening spot.
As super sleuth Sherlock Holmes would say, “It's elementary, my dear Watson.”
