From Iron Bowl to Civil War
CONWAY, Ark. — The Auburn vs. Alabama "Iron Bowl" semifinals morphed into a Civil War final in the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series. Auburn brothers Matt and Jordan Lee defeated Alabama's Dustin Connell and Logan Johnson in separate contests Saturday afternoon at Beaverfork Lake to set up a brother vs. brother Sunday final, which will determine a berth in the 2013 Bassmaster Classic.
Iron Bowl revisited
Although this Carhartt Bassmaster College Series tournament has advanced to individual competition, the four semifinalists decided Saturday morning at Beaverfork Lake will represent only two teams — Auburn and Alabama.
Cowboys start on top
Pair needed only two hours on the Arkansas River Wednesday to practically assure themselves a spot in Friday's Top 5 Final of the Carhartt Bassmaster College National Championship.
