It’s all about the smallmouth
I’m up on Green Bay getting ready for the Mystery Lake event that isn’t a mystery anymore. I’m just about as excited as a bass angler can get. This is going to be a good one. I cut my teeth on smallmouth so it’s kind of like going back to the beginning.

As I write this I’m sitting in 34th place in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year standings. That’s most certainly not where I want to be.
Kickin' back
Last week was great, absolutely fantastic. Becky, Vegas and I spent a few days at a motel near Douglas Lake just kickin’ back and enjoying life.
It’s a matter of pride
While I didn’t win at last weekend's Elite tournament, I am happy that two of the guys who did - Brandon Palaniuk and Britt Myers - used my Rapala baits.
