When only 9 pounds separates first place from 50th place (1. Mark Davis, 33-1; 50th, Yusuke Miyazaki, 24-11) after two days on Table Rock Lake, you know that anyone fishing today has a chance to win this tournament. Focusing even tighter, first and 10th were separated by only 2-11 on Day One; the margin increased to only 4-3 Friday.
Mark Davis the Mount Ida, Arkansas pro just caught 2 more non keepers. He's in search of bigger fish. There's a little breeze gently rippling the water now.
Ike had keeper No. 3. He's lost two good ones in the last 30 minutes, but made a move to the dirty water and now he's working it out.
It's a chilly, but beautiful, morning on the lake!
I'm a big fan of the country song "Sunny and 75." Well, it's sunny and 39 here on Table Rock Lake. But I'm not complaining. The fog has burned off and there's very little wind. We've followed Mark Davis across the lake into a pretty little cove with lots of timber around the edges. Mark has caught three fish already here, and culled with one of them, for 9 or 10 pounds in his livewell. I bet we've seen him catch 20 fish today. Now he just needs to catch some bigger fish.
