Day 3 gets underway for the A.R.E. Truck Caps Bassmaster Elite at Cayuga Lake.
Todd Faircloth started off hot this morning as he already has a limit for roughly 15 pounds. Of course, he unofficially took over the lead, but Hackney has two fish for about 7 pounds so he is starting fast as well.
Powroznik's marhsal has reported that he just landed three fish in four casts.
We've been watching Evers for the past 10 minutes sit in one spot, with Power-Poles down, and make cast after cast to the same spot. At least four times now, he's set the hook and missed. If I didn't know any better, it looks like he's sight fishing. I do know that some of these anglers are keying on specific clumps of grass. The bank may be lined with grass, more than you can sort through, but there's the occasional sweet spot they spend a lot of time on.
Matt Reed recovers quickly after breaking his trolling motor pull cord just before take off. The repair crew did a great job and very quickly very. Thanks guys. Marshall Rex Heimberger from Baltimore, Ohio
The "Wolverine" is on the board with two small keepers.
