Of the 50 anglers on the water today, 35 have BassTrakk units due to the number of marshals at this event. Unofficially, Jacob Powroznik is the leader in this event with four fish for 17 pounds. The only angler with a limit early this morning is Alton Jones, who is just behind Powroznik. Jones' limit is in the 13- to 14-pound range.   

Where AOYs are crowned

This will be the second year in a row that Angler of the Year will be determined in Michigan. Last year Aaron Martens entered the Elite Series season finale on Lake St. Clair in second place and passed Edwin Evers to win. Once again Martens is second going into the finals, this time chasing Greg Hackney.
