A foggy morning on Lake Dardanelle brings Charlie Hartley a nice 4-pounder for his first fish.
Our boat driver Hunter Baughman said he didn't even have a chance to get cold as we searched for anglers. Ish Monroe was just on the other side of the breakwall at the state park launch. He's throwing a squarebill and said he's caught a catfish, two shorts and a miss. The fog that looked like it might cause a delay never thickened, but remnants are floating on the surface. Ish moves and so are we.
We just arrived at Spadra Park, well up river from the take off. It's eerily quiet up here. The fog has set pretty good in this area, and I expected to see at least some boats arriving with me.
