Jeff Kriet is sweating a little right now. He has around 16 pounds today and feels like he needs another big one to make the 50 cut. He believes if you make the 50 cut you have a shot at the 12 cut. While I'm typing Jeff lands a small spotted bass. KVD yells over to him, "Kriet this isn't a crappie fishing tournament." The fun continues.
Heading back to the launch I ran into the only angler fishing the northern half of the lake. Actually, Rick Clunn didn't even burn a gallon of gas before he started fishing. He's focusing on shallow cover in the creek leading from the launch to the main river channel. Not sure if he has any keepers, but he's getting an extra two hours of fishing time by staying here.
Kevin VanDam just caught keeper number five. This one is around 3 and a half or 4 pounds. KVD says that gives him 15 or 16 pounds. Jeff Kriet and Russ Lane are arguing with him that he has at least 17 pounds.
Cliff Pirch is fishing down the lake. Has limit about 16-17 lbs he said. Solid three pounders and one over four.

I got in the boat with Jeremy Starks and saw him pull in these keepers. I'll have more photos later, but here's a sneak preview.
Takahiro Omori is not feeling well, but he's not missing a beat, fishing on his back.
