Tracy Adams is getting ready for Second Chance weigh-in at Nickajack.
Today's 2nd chance leaderboard will be different than our normal tournament leaderboard. Because this is a unique event our standard leaderboard won't quite work for today, so we've improvised and web producer Chris Mitchell will update you with today's weights every few minutes at this location.
There are about 90 guys fishing this "second chance" event, but we won't see that many cross the stage. While Skylar Hamilton promises to give us a charge with a big sack, most of these guys will be more worried about the 10th place weight. There's not even a guess at this point what that will be but as soon as 10 guys weigh in, there will be a contingent that knows they are wasting their time.
I'm sitting in front of the weigh-in stage at Nickajack. It won't be long before one of two things happen, possibly both at the same time: one, some amazing fish will hit the scales and two, one of those dark and nasty thunderstorms will descend on us. I like the first one. The second had everyone looking toward the black rolling clouds headed our way. This is a unity and fun format, one that may stick around for a while. A big storm at the same time will certainly make it a memorable first one.
Skylar Hamilton has checked in after the best day of tournament fishing in his 19 years on this earth. These are his two best fish. He also has a 5-pounder, a 4 and a 2 in his 5 fish limit.
