VENICE, La. Wait with fingers crossed. That's the mantra most anglers fishing Venice are living by as they launch for the second day of official Classic practice. With the time already invested in scouting and fishing that far from the launch, all the anglers can do is hope the water warms up enough to get the bass active.
Even the B.A.S.S. pros have to practice. This gallery features images from the second day of practice before the 2011 Bassmaster Classic.
VENICE, La. It plain stinks to be stuck out in the middle of the marsh with no one around for miles, but for at least five of the anglers fishing out of the Venice area, beaching the boat was a fact of life on the first day of official practice.
VENICE, La. For many fans, the Classic starts February 18, when they will pack the arena to see the Day One weigh-in, but for the 50 qualifiers, the Classic begins tomorrow. Friday is the first of three grueling days of practice, a time when the Classic will likely be won or lost.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- For many, a Kevin VanDam victory in the Evan Williams Bourbon Trophy Triumph with Skeet Reese as runner-up would be a win-win scenario.
Three longtime PRADCO-Fishing pros head to the Bassmaster Classic with their lure sponsorships sewn up by re-signing with PRADCO and its family of fishing companies, including Booyah Bait Co., Bomber, Yum, XCalibur and more. Florida's Terry "Big Show" Scroggins and Oklahoma's Edwin Evers and Terry Butcher will again fish on the PRADCO team.

Six weeks prior to the Classic, Alton purchased a Toyota Sequoia, and quickly sent in his registration to be eligible for the brand new Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks contingency program. Confident, yet humble, it's doubtful Alton was counting on getting his first bonus check as a result of winning the Bassmaster Classic, but as the highest placing registered Tundra or Sequoia owner in a Classic field, that's exactly what happened.
Bassmaster Elite Series pro Edwin Evers rolled the dice on Toyota's new Bonus Bucks tow-vehicle incentive program.
