What is it? O.S.P.’s newest shallow-water crashing crankbait, the Blitz Max. What does it do? O.S.P. designed the Blitz Max as a big-bodied crankbait that excels at attracting big bass from treacherous cover. The action, size, snaglessness and ability to get into heavy cover are all traits that O.S.P. reports attracts bigger bites. Plus, you’d be hard pressed to find a more durable hardbait on the market. How do I use it? Like a squarebill crankbait; in and around stumps, rocks, wood and other shallow cover.

Another one of our Facebook readers, Dustin Keys, wants to know what out-of-pocket baits I use, and why. By out-of-pocket I assume he means those lures that I buy myself, those that do not come from sponsors. In truth I don’t use a lot of them. I have top-shelf sponsors. Their baits seem to work in most situations I’m faced with in B.A.S.S. tournaments. There are exceptions, however.
I’m really excited about next Sunday’s Ike Live show. Dave Mercer, Bassmaster Elite Series emcee, will review the 2014 Elite Series season. The show will air for two hours starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. You can watch it from my site, www.mikeiaconelli.com.
What is it? MagicEzy’s 9 Second Chip Fix and Hairline Fix. What does it do? As the names imply, these little miracle tubes are designed to fix up your boat’s dings, dents, scratches and cracks in a matter of seconds. The Chip Fix fills in, well, chips, and the Hairline Fix takes care of those annoying hairline chips that come with wear, tear and age.
There’s more than meets the eye with this mug. Sure, it can hold 15 ounces of coffee and keep it hot, but it’ll also make French pressed coffee for you. How? It’s a mug within a mug.
The Alabama Bass Trail is proud to announce two lakes have been added to the state’s popular fishing trail for 2015.
What is it? Alabama Power’s Shorelines app and website. What does it do? Alabama Power is releasing its Shorelines media that includes an app, website, social media component as well as email alerts to keep customers and lake-goers abreast of lake conditions, news and stories from Alabama’s waterways. The app might be most useful for bass anglers because it includes dam generation/release schedules for the 11 reservoirs and 14 dams controlled by the company on the Coosa, Tallapoosa and Black Warrior rivers.
