Alabama involved in dam re-licensing

ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. — The Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation is continuing its involvement in the process of re-licensing two dams on the Tallapossa River. "Activities include review of the plans for assessment of impacts, submittal documents, input management strategies for all aspects of the dams and input any mitigation activities we see as relevant to fish populations, access, shoreline habitat, recreation and access," explained Jim Howard.

Flint River club adopts ramp

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — The Flint River Bass Masters adopted a boat ramp on Lake Guntersville to conduct cleanup, maintenance and monitoring activities. The 15 volunteers, including junior club members, contributed 90 man-hours in 2012 to cleaning up the lake plus a mile of shoreline.
