The past couple of weeks in Texas were a blast. I really enjoyed both Bassmaster Elite Series events down there. Falcon was fun because it was a slugfest, and I love catching giants. Sabine was fun because every keeper there was like gold.
I grew up watching The Bassmasters, and I am sure I watched many Bassmaster Classics throughout my childhood, but the first one that I can remember really well was the ‘98 Classic that Denny Brauer won.

The first tournament of the year is off and running, which always brings excitement to the sport. A new year, new goals, and new guys will qualify for the Classic and Bassmaster Elite Series.
After only fishing professionally for one year now, I can really appreciate what guys like Rick Clunn, Gary Klein and Denny Brauer have done for many years.
It’s hard to believe it is already 2013. With every New Year comes the time to make a resolution to better yourself.
