Our All-Star anglers head out on Muskegon Lake in hopes of making the Day Two cut and advancing to W
Edwin Evers and Cliff Pace might as well be fishing in a buddy tournament right now. Their boats are about 25 feet apart at the upper end of Lake Muskegon. They seem to be chatting a little bit, not exactly either man's strength. What I'm saying is this appears amicable, not boat-bumping for a spot.
Carlos Vergara reports that Edwin Evers and Cliff Pace are already sharing some water this morning, sending along these photos. He says that Pace has 2 fish in the livewell already; Evers has 1.
Thursday night there was a pre-tournament registration meeting and a reception for the All-Stars. It was a nice affair with an open bar and buffet featuring steak and chicken (I had both), but what really interested me was the salad. Now, salad is usually pretty boring to me — I'm a card-carrying carnivore — but this one was interesting. Sitting with the anglers, I noticed that just about everyone was using ranch dressing. Keith Combs went ranch; Skeet Reese went ranch; Edwin Evers went ranch.
