BASSTrakk currently shows Brian Snowden in second place. Snowden is from this region and has loads of experience fishing Ozark Mountain lakes. Many of the pros predicted that he would be a contender here. They were right.
Vinson has made it out to his primary area. Between what he did with his boat and the wind it appears as if most of the debris has moved to the back of the pocket he was in. He's slowly working his juicy area now with little trouble.
The wind is blowing now. Not a whole, just an almost perfect breeze if you are fishing. For Vinson, though, it could be a blessing or a curse. All that debris he moved with his boat is being pushed back to his bank

My last note covered the 16 anglers who have missed every cut so far in 2013.
The water where Scalon is fishing is already 59 degrees. I suspect that most of the pros will catch more bass today than yesterday. Then again, quality, not quantity, is the name of the game. Any pro that solves the kicker bass puzzle will make a big jump in the standings.
Scanlon sets the hook and gingerly works a strong bass in on spinning tackle. He soon scoops up a keeper smallmouth to fill his limit. He looks happy to get the limit monkey off his back, but he needs to do some serious culling before day's end.
