We left Chris Lane and scooted a short distance into the Coosa River. We found Ish Monroe who said he has "three little babies. Missed a couple. The current is acting weird." Ish told us some other anglers are not far up. We're going.
We found Chris Lane on the shoreline of the Alabama River and he said he's not doing well, holding up one finger to indicate today's catch. Seconds later, he put a 3 1/2 pounder in the boat. Looks like he's throwing a jig. Now he's got two fish in the live well.

Steve Kennedy is having a big day. James Overstreet shot this photo of him early today when Kennedy was fishing near Wetumpka in the spot that Ott DeFoe clued him on. Kennedy moved up the Coosa River after that and apparently he's continuing to catch them. Overstreet and I may go back up there and look for him now.
With Edwin Evers' bite stopped, we decided to head down the Alabama River. We came across Shaw Grigsby who is fishing a bit farther downriver than he was when saw him the past two days. Shaw said he has a limit, but they are small -- "Seven pounds or so. Little ones," he said. The water is considerably lower today and it's easy to see. We're going to poke around some more and see if we can find any of the other leaders who are on this side of the fishery.
We caught B.A.S.S. writer Don Barone midstream before the weigh-in at the Alabama River...
