A bass goes airborne as Casey Ashley pulls it towards the boat on Day Four of the Evan Williams Bourbon Carolina Clash.

A Fluke played a major role in Ashley’s tournament strategy and he also had a double-Fluke rig (donkey rig) tied on as welll.

This chunky largemouth will help Ashley move closer to winning the tournament.

After going back to the livewell, Ashley culls his smallest fish. He said a slow morning made him  “nervous and worried'' because with the wind he knew other anglers would catch fish.

This fish would clinch the Evan Williams Bourbon Carolina Clash title for Ashley, who totaled 61 pounds, 3 ounces for his second Elite victory.

Ashley makes a final cull to his 15-5 total Sunday, which put him 3-2 ahead of fellow South Carolinian Davy Hite and Michael Iaconelli,both with 58-1.
