Southern Open #1 Day One behind-the-scenes

After experiencing a minor mechanical issue, a BoatUS Angler tow boat pulled Roland Martin’s boat to the weigh-in site. 

With an assist from BoatUS Angler, Roland Martin made it to the weigh-in site in time to weigh his Day One catch. 

Steve Wisdom caught the largest bass on Day One, weighing 8 pounds, 15 ounces. 

Wisdom gets a good grip on his big bass before placing it in the weigh-bag.

Jonathon VanDam pulls his fish from the livewell at the end of Day One. VanDam is in 40th place with 11 pounds, 15 ounces.

A large crowd gathers to view the Day One weigh-in. 

After weighing his fish, Day One leader Tim Frederick discusses his first day on the water. Frederick leads with 28 pounds, 3 ounces.
