2011 Ramada All-Star Semi-Final Day One On the Water II

Spectators gather to watch Aaron Martens fish. 

Boats kept a respectful distance from Martens’ fishing location. 

Martens did have a skier fly by while he was fishing. 

Martens early strategy wasn’t working and he decided to make a move. 

Martens hooked up soon after moving into a creek. 

The small fish barely measured, but Martens released it back into the lake.

Martens made another move, fishing in sight Edwin Evers.

Martens was plagued with small fish early on Day One.

While many of his competitors were fishing deep, Casey Ashley started shallow. 

A Lake Jordan resident takes a break from his yard work to watch Ashley fish. 

Ashley had a quick start in the morning, catching a limit from the first spot he fished. 

Ashley secures his bait before making a move. 

The move paid off and Ashley was quickly hooked up on a fish in a brush pile.

This fish would not help Ashley cull what was in the live well. 

A few casts later Ashley was hooked up with a keeper. 

Ashley pulls the fish into the boat. 

Ashley weighed the fish before culling. 

On the next cast Ashley was once again hooked up. 

Ashley throws the short fish back into the lake.

After a short move, Ashley swings another fish into the boat. 

After a quick assessment, he decides to release the fish. 

Skeet Reese grabs a quick drink on the run. 

Reese hooks up with a catfish he estimated weighed 6 or 7 pounds.

In his typical style, Kevin VanDam was running and gunning several waypoints. 

Steve Kennedy said he only had two keeper fish late in the afternoon. 

Kennedy fished a boat dock while local residents enjoyed a day on Lake Jordan. 

Despite a slow morning, Aaron Martens was making a move towards the top of the leader board late in the day. 

Mike Iaconelli and cameraman Wes Miller make yet another move.
