Rainy river woes

Weather is a consistent part of the Bassmaster Elite Series. What Mother Nature decides to do with the wind, the clouds and the sun plays a critical part in the outcome of an event. The second day of the Plano Bassmaster Elite at the Mississippi River presented by Favorite Fishing was no different.

A thunderstorm rolled through the area during the early part of the day and continued to dump rain on the anglers during the course of the event. The change in weather created a look that different than in most events. Long gone are the shorts and hot-weather clothing, replaced by the heavy-duty rain gear. Sunny skies that wash color over everything are replaced with menacing clouds and grayer days.
