Terry Scroggins started making his first casts relatively close to the take off ramp, just after the sun had risen over Lake St. Clair.

It wasn’t long until he had a bite and set the hook.

Farther out into Lake St. Clair Jacob Powroznik and quite a few other anglers (both pros and locals) were fishing near the shipping channel. Jacob was hooked up with a little smallmouth.

The fight was so long that we had time to trolling motor over close enough to see Cliff leaning in close to land his fish.

Not two minutes later we turn around and Jason Williamson was scooping what looked like a great fish up!

After an hour or so Powroznik decided that there was a better bite to be had else ware.

Hank Cherry, who was also working the same area with Jacob and Cliff sets the hook on his first fish of the day.

He let the fish tire as it made run after run away from the boat.

Finally the fish seems to be tiring.

Then decides to scoop the fish, pinning it against the boat.
