1. Yum Christie Critter
This creature bait is of his own design and is his choice for when the spawn is on as well as postspawn.

This creature bait is of his own design and is his choice for when the spawn is on as well as postspawn. “This is also my choice for sight fishing.”
2. Yum Christie Craw
This is his go-to soft plastic, but it's usually riding on a 1/2-ounce jig.
2. Yum Christie Craw
This is his go-to soft plastic, but it’s usually riding on a 1/2-ounce jig. “This is a good prespawn bait, and in prespawn I want to be flipping a jig rather than a soft plastic,” the two-time Elite Series champ says. “I can flip it around wood, swim it around grass, and fish rocks with it. There’s lots you can do with that.”
3. Yum Wooly Bug
3. Yum Wooly Bug
“This bait gets the nod when I’m punching heavy cover because it’s compact,” he says.
4. Yum Money Minnow
4. Yum Money Minnow
“In the spring, if you’re going down the bank, you’re going to catch some fish if you’re tossing this,” he says. “At the very least, you’ll get fish to show themselves. What I mean by that is: Suppose you toss it by a stump; if there’s a fish there and it doesn’t eat the Minnow, he’s probably going to come up and show himself when he looks at it.”
5. 6-inch Yum Dinger
This is a no-brainer, and a big-fish bait in the 6-inch size.
5. 6-inch Yum Dinger
This is a no-brainer, and a big-fish bait in the 6-inch size. “I’ll fancast this around vegetation while I’m looking for bedding bass. You can just throw this up ahead of you and be looking around. More than once I’ve been looking, then when I go to reel the Dinger in, the line is heavy.” He throws them both Texas and wacky style, and says that he gets more bites when it’s wacky style.
