College: Viva Las Vegas

Lake Mead is where all the action is this week for the Carhartt Bassmater College Series Western Regional, but the adjacent city to Lake Mead is Las Vegas, which is home to hustle and bustle as well. I rode along with Wes Miller and Ben Oliver of JM Outdoors as we toured the city and checked out the lights and sounds of the town.

Just on the outskirts of Vegas was Red Rock Canyon, which had its own sights as well.

All of the b-roll could be featured in the ESPNU TV show, which will air later in the year.

We made it to the strip. Who can resist a photo opportunity with the famous Las Vegas sign?

Oliver gets some b-roll shots with the sign as well as an Elvis impersonator â¦ or maybe it was really Elvis. We will never know.

As we head down the strip the buildings glowed and created a lively atmosphere. No wonder this city never sleeps.

As well as food brands that decorated the street side view.

Paris seems to be a reoccurring theme in this town.

Bright lights and raucous sounds hang over the city even early into the next morning.

As the strip runs out of festivities we keep the GoPro rolling on the front of the car to get some killer shots, which may make it into the TV show later. While all the action seems to be focused on the city of Las Vegas at night, the action will be centered on Lake Mead as teams battle for a Conference Championship on Monday.
