Terry Scroggins, a pre-tournament favorite, proved that the fickle nature of Florida affects natives, too: Scroggins struggled on Day Three, catching 6-8 and slipping to 11th place.
Butch Tucker, the co-angler winner, had a couple of close calls but held on to win. Tucker won the event on Day Two. He weighed in 1-8 on Day Three and won the event by 1-9.
Kenyon Hill jumped into the top of the standings on Day Two with a big sack anchored by a 10-3 giant. Even though his Day Three overall weight 9-9 didn't come close to that, he stayed in 7th place going into the final.
Mark Davis posted one of the largest sacks of Day Two, but struggled on Day Three, falling to 18th place.
Mike Elkins, a co-angler, weighed in a 3-8 largemouth and finished the event in 17th place.
