Bling of B.A.S.S. 2014

Whether you like it or will admit it, the vehicle you drive is a direct reflection upon you. Is it dirty? You might be lazy, work in construction, live down a dirt road or hunt a lot. Is it a broke-down beater? Then maybe you’re not where you want to be financially, or the opposite could hold true – it’s paid off and you’re riding it till it croaks. Any way you slice it, your ride speaks volumes about you. Bassmaster Elite Series pros know this and also know very well that pickups and SUVs are an integral aspect of bass fishing. What good is the buggy if you’ve got no horse? The next few slides will show you some of the most dolled-up horses on the 2014 Elite trail. Maybe you can get an idea or two for customizing your own ride.

This highly customized GoPro Tundra was spotted at the Bassmaster Classic this past February. It sports an Iron Cross Automotive bumper and buckets of Rigid Industries LED lights as well as a lift kit with big tires and wheels. The matte black wrap doesn’t look half bad, either. The tow hooks are from Monster Hooks.

Tracy Adams’ Tundra sports a cool graphite-looking Cashion Rods wrap (get it?) with a lift, some wheels and ARE Rod Pods on an ARE topper to hold his extra sticks.

Gary Klein’s Repel-wrapped Tundra underwent the wheels-lift-tires treatment from Elite pro Britt Myers’ CS Motorsports in South Carolina.

Many pros get their trucks sent directly to Myers’ shop for upgrades from mild (like Klein’s) to wild (see Myers’ truck in a few slides).

Dennis Tietje’s diesel Chevrolet Silverado sports Iron Cross bumpers front and rear as well as the company’s HD Step bars.

Tietje also has matching recovery shackles on his bumper.

Although it’s not too terribly tricked out, Skeet Reese’s Ford F-650 is certainly worth a peek. It’s huge! Blacked out wheels and an RBP grille are the most noteworthy exterior additions.

Mudflaps keep dust and debris off of Reese’s Ranger boat as he cruises down the road.

Here it is, the most customized rig on the Elite tour, Britt Myers’ Tundra. A giant lift with big wheels and tires and a primo suspension keep this truck elevated, while Rigid lights keep it visible. An ARE topper and Rod Pods keep his gear secure while he’s on the road.

Note the Rigid grille and light bar up top, as well as the custom CS Motorsports suspension down below.

Brett Hite’s Ford is clean, with Iron Cross bumpers, a Rigid grille and a small lift.

The tailgate is removed to accommodate his camper which goes in the bed. Note the custom bumper cutouts for Rigid lights.

Fender-benders are a thing of the past with a bumper like this. His won’t get dinged; yours will be totaled.

“Big Show” Terry Scroggins’ 2014 Tundra is mostly stock, except for some slick flat black wheels.

Hank Cherry’s Tundra has a little more work done to it. Most notable are Iron Cross bumpers, a lift, wheels, an exhaust system and an ARE topper.

The blacked-out look is very popular these days.

Randall Tharp’s Tundra is also hopped up a bit. A lift and ARE Rod Pods are most evident.

Tharp opted for the full-size cab on his Tundra for the extra room in the back.

Like many pros, Tharp has opted to keep his gear secure under an ARE cap.

Jeremy Starks’ Chevy Silverado has a clean look to it with a flat black wrap and black wheels.

Jacob Powroznik’s 2014 Tundra is clean-looking, too.

Black wheels add a touch of customization to his rig.

Timmy Horton’s Tundra sports a small lift and black wheels and step bars.

Note the Alabama wildlife tag.

“Big Daddy” Russ Lane’s Tundra fits nicely in the matte black category.

Black wheels, black step bars and a black wrap all look slick. Note the Towtector, too, to keep his Phoenix clean as he drives down the road.

Marty Robinson’s Tundra sports a set of Gear wheels.

Mike Kernan’s Ford sports Iron Cross step bars and a nice tire/wheel package.

David Walker’s Tundra is one of the few trucks with chrome wheels and step bars.

He’s also got ARE Rods Pods and a spare on the roof rack.

Cliff Crochet’s Chevy Silverado sits high thanks to a nice lift kit.

Davy Hite’s Tundra wears an Iron Cross bumper as well as some nice wheels and tires.

He’s got Iron Cross out back, too.

Jonathon VanDam’s Tundra has a small lift and nice wheels.

It’s also got a custom-fit Rigid LED light grille.

Kevin VanDam’s Tundra also has a Rigid Grille and some nice wheels.

Greg Vinson’s Tundra sits higher than many do. It’s hard to keep these trucks clean with all the miles the pros put on them each year.

He’s got nice black step bars to match.

Scott Rook is also showing off some chrome wheels.

Justin Lucas runs gobs of Rigids, do you? This might flirt with overkill, but it sure is an attention getter!

This is the front end of a man who will never be want for lighting, regardless of where he is.

Lucas’ Tundra also sports a lift, ARE Rod Pods and an ARE topper.

Dean Rojas spends time in the deserts out west riding dirt bikes with his family, so a Ford Raptor loaded with Rigid lights is the perfect truck for him.
