Dean Rojas is picking apart a section of grassbeds on the north end of Lake George, pitching a tiny soft bait on a fairly heavy weight. The technique just netted him a keeper that was close enough to compare to the smallest fish in his limit. It wasn't possible to tell whether he culled with the new one or not. If so, it couldn't have helped him much. BASSTrakk has him at 7th with 55-5.
In the last 20 minutes or so Lane has culled twice. Nothing huge, but ounces and half pounds. He's slowly massing a decent stringer, but closer to his Day 1 weight of about 18 than the huge sack of yesterday.
Paul Elias worked his way north towards Alton Jones. He just ran back to the area he and Davis have concentrated on all day. He lowered the trolling motor and made one cast. He hooked up a cull fish it appears. He is well inside from us so it's difficult to tell even with a 420mm lens. Davis is continuing south as the wind increases.

Lane just upgraded about 1 pound. He caught one pushing three, allowing him to cull out one of his dinks. A couple more like that and he will be pushing 20.
Keith Combs, Todd Faircloth, Alton Jones, Terry Scroggins and J Todd Tucker finished in the Top 12 of both previous Elite events on the St. Johns. After Day 2, only Tucker has been eliminated from competition (52nd). Combs and Jones are 7th and 8th, respectively. Faircloth is 20th and Scroggins is 50th.
