Chapman moves downriver again
Brent Chapman has made another move — this time to the confluence of the Bouldin Canal and the Coosa River. He's throwing a spinnerbait on the point of where the waters meet, still searching for that elusive 5-pounder.

Edwin Evers tells us he's picking up and heading back down the Tallapoosa. We'll give chase.
Observations from the Gap
With Steve Kennedy and David Walker now fishing at Jordan Dam, they'll have to make it back through Moccasin Gap to get back to weigh-in. Here at the Gap I'm noticing a slowdown in the Coosa River's flow. The water level looks a little lower since they shot through here an hour ago. According to BASSTrakk, Kennedy has made up about four pounds on Brent Chapman today. I'm sure Kennedy and Walker are watching the water levels closely, but if they're not careful they'll have trouble getting back to Montgomery.
Cameramen on the water
Our cameramen shoot all day, every day of the tournaments. Evers' cameraman followed him all the way up the Tallapoosa on Day Four.
Chapman looking for a lunker
Brent Chapman just moved to the opposite side of the Coosa River from where he caught the two 3-pounders. "It's 5-pounder time," he said as he idled past us. Even a 4-pounder would help, but it's going to take that or better for him to upgrade much at this point. He's got a livewell filled with five 3-pounders.
Evers culls up
Edwin Evers worked that flooded bush here on the Tallapoosa for about 20 minutes, and then decided to move into of the river to throw a spinnerbait toward a shallow area. The move paid off. He just snagged a 3-pounder and was able to cull up a pound or so. That should have him around 14 pounds, but that's a very rough estimate. And again, keep in mind that every ounce is going to count, it appears. Edwin's going to continue to work that shallow, sandy area a while longer.
Chapman upgrades again
Brent Chapman has caught two fish in three casts since his move. The second one was another 3-pounder and now gives him 15 pounds. Both bass have been caught on the 3/4-ounce War Eagle spinnerbait. It's been a long time since a Bassmaster Elite Series tournament has been won on a spinnerbait.
Walker working the bank
David Walker fished in this outcropping for 20 minutes and then slalomed downstream to try his luck on the other side. He's working the bank letting the current take him south.
