After walking through the woods and finding the Minnesota team of Trevor Lo and Chris Burgan, they didn't disappoint. In the last 10 minutes they boated a non-keeper and then backed it up with a keeper. They put it on the board and then in the box. Now they have an approximate 4 pound smallmouth and a 1.5-2 pounder as well. Rolling along for the Gophers.
Word from the water is that the leaders from Nicholls State are sitting on zero at the moment. Tyler Rivet and Allyson Marcel were extremely confident in their shallow chatterbait bite going into today, but it's extremely hard to manage fish on Lake DuBay. Teams have been pounding this fishery since Monday. Texas A&M started just ounces back and right now are unofficially in the lead with about a 2 pounder in the boat. They were delayed an hour until they showed proof if insurance so having a keeper is big time now.
The Day 1 leaders from Texas A&M slipped to second place after yesterday's weigh-in, but they had more problems then that this morning. Josh Bensema and Matt Mcardle needed a specific amount of insurance that is required for College Bass events. B.A.S.S. Tournament officials have to visibly see that number in order to let them safely fish that day. After about 50 minutes, Texas A&M could show proof and they headed out. Less than an hour was lost, but every moment is so crucial on Lake DuBay.

Tyler Rivet and Allyson Marcel caught a very good three-fish limit today. They are nervous, but she is taking a moment to get her hair braided before weigh-in starts.
Brian Eaton and Slade Daniel from the University of Louisiana-Monroe did one of the most selfless things tournament anglers can do on Day 2 of the Carhartt Bassmaster College National Championship.
