So far I've been with Auburn, Una and Young Harris, and of those three, we've only seen one fish catch and heard of one other. Looks like the morning bite is slow, for the leaders at least. As I was typing this, Auburn decided they had enough fishing alongside UNA and packed up shop. I motioned to ask if they had caught any and Powell held up 3 fingers. When I motioned "big?" Powell nodded.
Caught up with a couple of the teams, at the same time. The crowded conditions are a part of ledge fishing on the Tennessee River. With hundreds of miles to choose from, it seems everybody wants to fish the same 15 holes. With both of these teams bringing in more than 20 pounds yesterday, it's not likely either will back down from this spot or the fight for the Wild Card.
