B.A.S.S. Nation Conservation Directors, Dean Rustic (under the stage), Karl Schreiber and Jason Barnucz moving bass from under the stage at the Bassmaster Classic weigh-in, sending them back to the lake alive and well.
Paul Mueller just told Jeff Kriet in the “Take Out” live webcast that he caught a 30-pound limit today.
James Overstreet and I have ended our marathon session watching Randall Tharp and we're off the water. Stay tuned for analysis after weigh-in and more on-the-water coverage tomorrow.
Sometimes bass fishing seems like a man's world but plenty of women are part of the Classic. We thought it would be fun to see some of the ladies around the Expo and behind the scenes in Birmingham.
After bouncing around for an hour and catching several short fish, Ashley returned to his sweet spot to run out the last 45 minutes. He manages to catch one bass that let's him cull up a few ounces.
Anglers are wrapping it up for the day, and we're following suit and heading to the boat ramp. My overall impression of today's action is that, once again, Guntersville didn't exactly live up to its potential. Sure, there have been some big bags, and some anglers will make big moves in the standings. But overall, we didn't see what we thought we'd see today -- an overall increase in weights and the number of fish caught.
Tommy Wood, one of our GoPro copter pilots, dowsed his chopper in the water this morning and now $2,000 worth of GoPro and aircraft are at the bottom of the Tennessee River. Tommy Whitaker and Adam Wilmon of E Mergent RC Hobby Shop built a chopper and had Tommy back up in the air in 3 and 1/2 hours! Thanks guys!
Who says fishing isn't an action sport? Shaye Baker snapped this GoPro gallery of Randy Howell in action!
