Martens needs current

Aaron Martens just caught his second fish of the day, a smallmouth. He told us that his pattern has slowed since practice, largely due to lack of current. The TVA lakes were created to generate electricity and manage flood control. What that means is when the water isn't high, the generators are shut down, or don't run as often.

When they're pulling water the fish position on the structure differently, and are more likely to feed. Martens knows that and hopes the TVA will move some water today so his bite will pick up.
