Lefebre is lunker hunting this morning, he has started the morning throwing an inline Terminator buzzbait covering water fairly quickly. The buzzbait is equipped with a gold blade and what looks to be a black and blue soft plastic trailer. When employing the buzzbait, he is targeting dense shoreline structure close to the creek channel. The area he is fishing is filled with shoreline vegetation as well, creating a soft shoreline, allowing the fish to be pushed back in unreachable cover. When fishing the soft-line Lefebre has picked through the outmost areas of the vegetation with a bulky black and blue jig.
The shad spawn is happening this morning in Trinity Creek, there are blowups engulfing the area. This is the most bait activity I have observed this week. The water temperature is around 71 degrees this morning, cooler than the previous three days.
Lefebre is off to a slow start, but the morning is young.
