Toyota extends sponsorship of Bassmaster circuits through 2017

A new agreement between B.A.S.S. and Toyota will unite the leaders of their respective industries for four more years.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A new agreement between B.A.S.S. and Toyota will unite the leaders of their respective industries for four more years.

A longtime sponsor of the B.A.S.S.-owned Bassmaster Tournament Trail, Toyota will continue through 2017 with a Platinum-level, exclusive truck sponsorship.

“B.A.S.S. is enthusiastically looking forward to four more years with Toyota,” said Bruce Akin, CEO of B.A.S.S. “Exciting new programs in the making will give Toyota elevated exposure to our growing membership and audience — the world’s most avid bass anglers.”

The agreement includes Toyota sponsorship of all Bassmaster events within the Bassmaster Elite Series, Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Opens Series presented by Allstate, Carhartt Bassmaster College Series and the grass-roots B.A.S.S. Nation regional tournaments. Also included is the GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by Diet Mountain Dew and GoPro, the annual world championship of bass fishing.

Toyota retained title rights to the high-profile Elite Series’ Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year program, which by 2015 will offer a $1 million purse. Toyota also secured title branding to the revamped 2014 Elite Series finale, The Toyota Angler of the Year Championship, with the field made up of the Top 50 Elite anglers in points standings.

Besides its strong presence at Bassmaster events, Toyota will continue garnering prime visibility across all B.A.S.S. multimedia platforms. They include Bassmaster Magazine and B.A.S.S. Times, the popular Bassmaster.com website, and the award-winning TV show, The Bassmasters, which airs on ESPN2 and The Outdoor Channel.
