2012 Bassmaster Classic Red River - Shreveport-Bossier City, LA, Feb 24 - 26, 2012

Poche’s Carhartt Big Bass held through Day Two

Keith Poche
James Overstreet
Keith Poche's Day One 6 pound, 13 ounce bass held through Day Two as the Carhartt Big Bass of the tournament.

A 6-pound, 4-ounce bass weighed Saturday by Edwin Evers of Talala, Okla., proved to be the day’s largest fish, but it was not big enough to knock out Keith Poche’s 6-pound, 13-ounce bass from Friday as the largest so far. If no one beats 6-13, Poche would win the Carhartt Big Bass award of the Classic.

Bassmaster Classic competitors have two ways to earn Carhartt Big Bass bonus dollars. The Classic competitor who catches the biggest bass of the tournament will win $1,000.  If the competitor has opted into the Carhartt apparel contingency program and is wearing Carhartt apparel, the angler is eligible for an additional $1,500 for a total Carhartt Big Bass award of $2,500.
