That will soon change when the program will be "re-aired" on the Outdoor Channel beginning later this year, B.A.S.S. owner Jerry McKinnis announced today. McKinnis told a group of professional anglers and outdoor media gathered in New Orleans for the Bassmaster Classic that the move is aimed at distributing the popular fishing show to as many anglers — and potential anglers — as possible.

ESPN will continue to host all original programming of The Bassmasters, including coverage of this week's Bassmaster Classic, he noted. Air dates and times for the Outdoor Channel re-airs have not been finalized but are expected to include a weekend primetime slot.
