More than 65 volunteers helped create and place 900 habitat blocks for the Lake Conroe Artificial Structure project.

Members of the Nacogdoches Bass Club and the Seven Coves Bass Club joined Bassmaster Elite Series pro Brian Snowden and volunteers from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, The San Jacinto River Authority, Texas Black Bass Unlimited and SEACO (an invasive plant herbicidal company).

The blocks were placed in four areas throughout the lake, with each area containing up to 250 blocks. The locations of the habitat blocks have been published for all Lake Conroe anglers.

The blocks were funded by the Friends of Reservoirs program and donated by Toyota Trucks and Bass Pro Shops.
