Conservation organization offers big prize

Supporting your right to fish can turn into the fishing experience of a lifetime.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — KeepAmericaFishing, Daiwa and Crocodile Bay Resort have teamed up to offer a fishing trip-of-a-lifetime through the 2014 KeepAmericaFishing Costa Rica Sweepstakes.

Now through April 30, anglers and anglers-to-be can enter to win a six-night trip for two to Crocodile Bay Resort, a five-star rated resort on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. The trip includes three days of guided fishing trips and the winner’s choice of $300 in Daiwa gear. Crocodile Bay Resort is known as an angler’s dream fishing getaway with fish running year-round and a warm tropical climate ideal for escaping our record low temperatures.

KeepAmericaFishing, Crocodile Bay Resort and Daiwa are offering this special trip to highlight the important partnership that exists between anglers, our natural resources and the recreational fishing industry.

“Anglers from around the world come to Crocodile Bay to fish for blue marlin, sailfish, roosterfish and more in this world-class destination,” said Dave Burkhardt, owner of Trik Fish, LLC, and a long-time associate of Crocodile Bay Resort. “When not fishing, visitors can relax on warm beaches, zip line through the lush tree canopy or relax in our spa. We are excited to support KeepAmericaFishing and offer anglers this opportunity to join us for the trip of a lifetime in Costa Rica.”

“Daiwa is very happy to be a supporter of the KeepAmericaFishing program,” said Daiwa’s Curt Arakawa. “KeepAmericaFishing is one of the great organizations that we cannot say enough good things about. We all need to try to appreciate and conserve our natural resources. Enjoying our natural resources is one of the great things that we are blessed with in life.”

“KeepAmericaFishing is the recreational fishing industry’s angler advocacy campaign,” said American Sportfishing Association (ASA) Vice President Gordon Robertson. “ASA, along with our nation’s anglers are fighting the good fight to keep our waters open, clean and abundant with fish by working to influence policy issues on the state and national level. This sweepstakes partnership with Daiwa and Crocodile Bay Resort is just one way to help spread the word about our work to anglers across the country.”

Robertson further noted, “I’m happy to say that KeepAmericaFishing is partnering with other ASA members and supporters to offer other exciting campaigns to help us influence critical policy issues that impact fishing in 2014.” The KeepAmericaFishing Costa Rica Sweepstakes runs now through April 30, 2014. No purchase is necessary.
