LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Less than one month from now, a College B.A.S.S. angler will record a first.
On July 10, after fishing against his teammate, one fortunate collegian will be the first of his kind to qualify for the Bassmaster Classic.
The Mercury College B.A.S.S. National Championship details have been released, and the teams who qualify for the event will advance to Little Rock July 6-10.
All qualifying teams will fish for two days on two different bodies of water before a cut to the top five. Those teams will compete on the third day at an undisclosed location.
The National Champion will be crowned then that team splits up and goes head to head on July 10 at another undisclosed location for one berth into the 2012 Bassmaster Classic in Shreveport.

July 6: Briefing at JMAssociates, 1200 S. Scott Street
July 7: Arkansas River Pools 5-7 (Full field fishes)
July 8: Lake Maumelle (Full field fishes)
Cut to the top five
July 9: Undisclosed location (Top Five teams)
We will crown a School National Champions
July 10: Undisclosed Location
The National Champions will fish for 6 hours to determine who receives a Bassmaster Classic Berth
Tournament waters will go off-limits beginning June 23 – July 2. Official practice will begin July 2-6.
