EUFAULA, Ala. — The Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation helped prevent the addition of a landfill adjacent to the Chattahoochee River above Lake Eufaula.
"Our participation was instrumental in getting involvement of key players in organizations concerned with the health of the river system," said Jim Howard of the Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation. "The end result was that the County Commission denied the permit."
Howard contributed 8 man-hours to halt the landfill permit.
