Jumbo Chigger Craw creates a ruckus

While the Jumbo Chigger Craw may look like a novelty at first glance, it has several viable applications.

What is it?

Berkley 5-inch Jumbo Chigger Craw.

What does it do?

Berkley’s original 4-inch Chigger Craw is said to have won millions of dollars since it was first introduced. During its lifetime, this quintessential craw has undergone several incarnations, namely the smaller 3-inch Chigger Craw as well as the more recent Crazy Legs Chigger Craw. Berkley has now created a mini-lobster with the Jumbo 5-inch version.

Like the other Chigger Craws, the Jumbo is made with Berkley’s PowerBait scent and is available in nine proven colors.

Why do I need it?

This bruiser will come in handy when you’re fishing where the bass and/or the mudbugs grow very large, and you need a bait that creates a ruckus in the water.

How do I use it?

While the Jumbo Chigger Craw may look like a novelty at first glance, it has several viable applications. Ideally it is rigged Texas style with a large (5/0 or 6/0) hook and an appropriate amount of weight for the depth and thickness of cover that you’re fishing. Peg it in thicker cover. This plus-size crustacean is also at home on larger jigs, of either the swimming or football persuasion.

How much?

Berkley suggests a retail price of $3.99 for a 4-pack.
